How to stimulate beard growth?

The beard stands out today as an attribute of masculinity. In France for example, 53% of men wear it. However, having a well-groomed and well-groomed beard is no easy feat. Sometimes, you have to stimulate your growth with small daily reflex actions. Discover here some tips to stimulate the growth of your beard.

1. Have good facial hygiene

One of the main tips for stimulating beard growth is to have flawless skin . It must be hydrated and clean. Your beard must grow in favorable conditions, and therefore with healthy skin.
To do this, you should adopt a simple daily care routine adapted to your beard.
  • Clean your skin using a mild soap or a suitable facial cleanser
  • Get rid of dead skin with a gentle exfoliant once a week.
  • Apply a specific shampoo to your beard
  • Hydrate your skin with a moisturizer like our facial gel-cream
The skin thus exfoliated and freed from inconveniences, allows healthy growth of the beard. Regular hydration is also necessary.

2. Limit razor use

Contrary to commonly accepted opinion, hair growth is not stimulated by regular shaving. Hair does grow faster after shaving, but its growth slows down very shortly after. Shaving a beard therefore does not create new hair follicles, and cutting or shaving your beard regularly is not the right strategy for filling gaps in the beard. It is therefore advisable to let the beard grow without interruption, over a period of one to three months, maintaining it with specific products to improve its appearance, beard oil and/or beard mask .

3. Stimulate growth

Before maintaining your beard, ideally, you should brush your beard to remove dead skin and dead hairs. At the same time, this helps stimulate blood microcirculation. Then apply your nourishing beard treatment, massaging against the hairs and down to the skin to thoroughly penetrate the product and nourish the skin at the same time. Castor oil, safflower oil, jojoba oil and shea butter strengthen and soften your beard hair. A daily massage of 5 to 10 minutes also helps to air out your beard.

4. Have a healthy lifestyle

Practicing a sport and maintaining a healthy lifestyle help limit the effects of stress on your skin and beard, and your health more generally.
